Roles Currently Available - 

  • Front of House Supervisor - Full Time, Permanent Position

An exciting opportunity to be part of our team here at The Black Swan, we are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and experienced Front of House Supervisor.

The role will include -

  • Leading from the front - delivering great customer service at all times.
  • Overseeing the day to day running of the bar & Restaurant. Leading the team, preparing for services, maintaining our high standards.
  • Assisting the management team in driving the business forward.
  • Ongoing training and development with possible progression for the right candidate.
  • A range of hours & shifts to suit, can be flexible around other commitments but evening and weekend availability is a must.
  • Pay of up to £13.50 per hour (age & experience depending) plus an equal share of tips.

Our ideal candidate will have -

  • Must be 18 or over (to serve on the bar).
  • At least 1 years supervisory experience is a must.
  • Excellent communication & people skills.
  • Excellent team player skills
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Great attention to detail.
  • A friendly manner.
  • A positive "can do" attitude.
  • A willingness to learn - with the potential to progress into a management role.
  • Ability to travel to & from work / have own transport.
  • Flexibility to work evenings & weekends.

Up to £13.50ph (depending on age + experience), plus tips which on average equate to an extra £2-£3 per hour worked, every month. 

 

  • Assistant Manager - Full Time, Permanent Position

An exciting opportunity to be part of our wonderful team here at The Black Swan inn, we are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking Assistant Manager to help us lead our team. Working closely with all departments, you will be responsible for creating an exciting work atmosphere and leading daily operations to "bring it altogether" ready for service.

The role will include -

  • Overseeing daily services - and always leading from the front
  • Overseeing our booking systems - assisting with table management & room bookings
  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times
  • Working closely and communicating with our kitchen, housekeeping and other management at all times
  • Monitoring performance of junior team
  • Assisting with the management of health & safety
  • Working a range of shifts - evenings & weekends included (flexible working rota is available and we are very happy to work around life commitments where we can)
  • Handling cash / cashing up at the end of the night

Our ideal candidate must have -

  • Previous supervisory / management experience within the industry.
  • Excellent communication & people management skills.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Great attention to detail.
  • A friendly manner.
  • A positive "can do" attitude.
  • A willingness to learn - with the potential to progress within the business
  • Ability to travel to & from work / have own transport.
  • Team player abilities
  • A keen interest in food and beverage, extensive knowledge within the industry and ability to deliver on going training to the team.
  • Previous food hygiene and compliance training completed - updated & additional training will also be provided via our online training platform for successful candidate.
