Chef de Partie

An exciting opportunity to be part of The Black Swan Team. We are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking and passionate individuals to become part of our growing team.

The role will consist of -

  • Preparing, cooking & presenting high quality dishes.
  • Assisting the Head Chef in creating menu items, recipes & developing dishes.
  • Preparing meat & fish.
  • Assisting with management of health & safety.
  • Assisting with management of food hygiene.
  • Managing, mentoring & training Commis Chefs.
  • Monitoring waste & portion control
  • Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen & food safety standards.

Applicants must have -

  • A passion and eagerness to learn
  • The ability to adapt
  • A great attitude and friendly demeaner
  • Own their own chef whites and knives
  • Team player qualities
  • Flexibility with shift patterns
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to travel to & from work / have their own transport


  • At least 2 years’ experience in a professional kitchen
  • Food hygiene certification can be provided but beneficial if already held.
  • Development potential with direct mentoring and coaching from our Head Chef with various qualifications in leadership and people management.
  • Possible progression to Sous Chef for the right candidate.
  • Food safety, stock rotation and product training will all be provided, along with all other kitchen management systems.
