A family business

The Black Swan now has a staff of almost 20 and it does feel like a family.  Florence and John Chapman are the tenents and have been steering the ship since October 2015.  In that time they have transformed the building and the “business”.  The accolade from the Sunday Times that it is “the coolest place to hang out in Wiltshire” has made their efforts well worthwhile.

John qualified and practiced as a barrister before becoming a successful antique dealer and Florence is a trained architect and a very talented artist.  The combination of these two interests has had an enormous influence on the style and content of the Black Swan.

New Guest Chef

The Black Swan has always had a good reputation for its food but now it will take another step forward with the assistance of Adam Brockman-More.  Adam joins from a Michelin Star holding local restaurant and in the month he is with us will develop new menus, help train our apprentice chefs and ensure that the food that customers receive is of the highest quality we can archive while remaining a pub.
